Information We Collect
ATAF (transam.org) may request or collect personal information from online users in a variety of ways, including through online forms for ordering products and services, and other instances where users are invited to volunteer such information.
The data we collect is information that identifies you personally, and may include:

- Your e-mail
- Your nationality

You can remove or modify your personal information at any time by sending an e-mail to ATAF (transam.org).
What are Cookies?

How we use this information
ATAF (transam.org) may use the personally identifiable information collected by ATAF (transam.org) to contact affiliates or members regarding products and services offered by ATAF (transam.org) and, to the extent the user has agreed to it, by its trusted affiliates, independent contractors and business partners. We may also use this information for research purposes regarding the effectiveness of our website services, marketing, advertising and sales efforts. Except as outlined below, ATAF (transam.org) will not in any way share this information with a third party unless you specifically authorize such disclosures. ATAF (transam.org) does not sell or rent your contact information to third parties.
Disclosure of Information
ATAF (transam.org) may disclose your personal information as it deems necessary, in ATAF's (transam.orgs) sole discretion, to: (a) comply with legal process or other legal requirements, including but not limited to responding to civil or criminal subpoenas, search warrants, national security letters, court orders, or other requests for information from law enforcement officials; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ATAF (transam.org) or its officers, agents, affiliates, partners, and members; or (c) carry out its obligations under or enforce this Agreement or to assign its rights under this Agreement.
ATAF (TRANSAM.ORG) RESERVES THE RIGHT (SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LOCAL LAW), IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, TO MONITOR YOUR INQUIRY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE USE OF A AFFILATE'S OR MEMBER'S INQUIRY ACCOUNT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF INVESTIGATING VIOLATIONS OF THIS POLICY OR TO ASSIST WITH CRIMINAL OR CIVIL INVESTIGATIONS.
ATAF (transam.org) may also disclose aggregate, anonymous data based on information collected from users to investors and potential partners. In such cases, only statistical information will be disclosed and personally identifiable data will be kept confidential. In case ATAF (transam.org) is sold, the information collected from users may be transferred to the new owners.
Special Offers and Updates
Our affiliates or members and visitors will occasionally receive newsletters or e-mails with information on products, services, or special offers. Out of respect for the privacy of our visitors and members, ATAF (transam.org) gives them the opportunity to opt-out from receiving these types of communications. To opt out of all non-service related communications please follow the instructions included in the mailing you receive.
On rare occasions, it is necessary to send out a strictly service-related announcement, if, for instance, some services might be temporarily suspended for whatever reason or has been changed. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their service request. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.
Note that The Association of Trans American Friendship (ATAF) has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers or any social media networking.
Maintenance of Information
The information provided to ATAF (transam.org) is saved indefinitely and may be stored on one or more databases directly or indirectly maintained by ATAF (transam.org). ATAF (transam.org) employs industry-standard security measures to protect the confidentiality of the information. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur; we make every effort to prevent such occurrences.
California Privacy Rights
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents or residents of countries with similar rights may be entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal affiliate or member information ATAF (transam.org) shares with third parties or corporate affiliates for those third parties or corporate affiliates' direct marketing purposes. That notice will identify the categories of information shared and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses. If you are a California resident or a resident of countries with similar rights and would like a copy of this notice, please submit a written request to ATAF (transam.org). In your request, please specify that you want a "Your ATAF (transam.org) California Privacy Rights Notice or Privacy Rights Notice of Your Country". Please allow at least 30 days for a response.

Further more, all personal data will be processed based on Consent according to European Union law Art.6(1)(a) GDPR or as legitimate interest in accordance to Art.6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Under no circumstances we do use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about you personally.
